I'm not going to pretend this is a guide to An Thượng — not yet, anyway. It's just two places I've kept going back to since I've been spending time in that part of Da Nang, and enough people have asked where I actually go that it felt worth writing down properly, rather than leaving it buried in a Google review nobody here will ever read.
The first is MIA SPA, a short walk off the main strip. I've been going for over a year now, which for me is the real test — a good first visit is easy, but I don't keep going back somewhere unless it stays clean, professional and consistent every single time. It has.
The second is Corner Pub, right in the middle of the tourist stretch — which would normally make me cautious, not keen. But the staff are some of the best I've come across anywhere in Da Nang: genuinely positive, always have time for you, the kind of place that remembers you the next time. I've been back more times than I can count, and I'll keep going.
That's it for now. This isn't a "where to live in An Thượng" verdict, and I'm not going to pretend I've got the trade-offs, the rents or what it actually feels like to live here nailed down enough to write that piece yet. When I do, it'll say so properly, and it'll be built on more than two places. For now, these are just two things that are real, that I stand behind, and that felt worth putting somewhere other than a Google review.
